I’ve been fascinated by light ever since I saw the exhibition stands at the Frankfurt fairgrounds lit up as a child. That’s how I discovered my mission: creating better light. Thanks to flexible rentals.
Foundation

I founded SPOTS UP in 2015 with a team of experienced lighting technicians. Step 1 for us was: offering rental lighting for trade fairs and events that not only illuminates, but inspires.
First major success

Our first major success was the SOL fixture, developed in collaboration with renowned manufacturer ewo from Italy and Barski Design from Frankfurt. To date, this innovation is the only lighting fixture that, thanks to its lends, can illuminate a 2x2 meter wall evenly and without shadows.

We have high design standards – something demonstrated by the two professional honours we’ve received: the German Design Award and the IF Design Award.
Radiant retail

Since 2018, we’ve been taking Step 2: bringing our expertise to the retail sector. It’s now found in over 100 retail shops and 50 major outlets – ensuring optimal product presentation and brilliant customer experiences.
Rental lighting for offices

When we built our company headquarters, we couldn’t find any suitable office lighting. So we developed it ourselves. Since then, offering the finest inspiring lighting for office spaces has been our third core competence.
International success

Today, we’re not only the leading provider of rental lighting for events, retail and offices in Germany. We’re also setting accents internationally – with a lighting design in Paris at the world’s third largest fashion fair.
